Scott Winkler in the news again!

GROVETOWN, GA–A little less than a year ago Scott Winkler was in Beijing, China, making his debut at the paralympic games. This Friday, he leaves for Oklahoma to compete again. At 35 years old, one may think he’d be slowing down but he’s nowhere close.
Scott Winkler’s motto is if you believe it, you can achieve it. For six years since being paralyzed in Iraq, Winkler is doing just that.
“I mean, it’s what you make out of life. Some people don’t know how to react from it and if you can find an outlet and accept it, you can accomplish a lot in life.” said Scott Winkler
Winkler’s accomplishments as a paralympian speak for themselves. He’s the world record holder i the shot put and holds the American record in the shot and discus. But nothing beats qualifying for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
“It’s a lot of stress and struggle to get there. A lot of doubting. But getting there was the greatest feeling in the world.” added Winkler [read more]
