Scott Winkler – Field & Track

Scott is an Operation Iraqi Freedom combat injured veteran. Since his return he has worked his way onto the US Paralympic Team. His place was secured by having broken the shot put world record three times in his class. At the Para Pan-American games in Brazil in August of 2007 he earned the gold medal in shot put and the bronze medal in discus for the American team. Scott donates his time to CMFA to mentor and inspire others like himself to discover adaptive sporting. He is also a Certified Level 1 U.S. Track and Field Coach.

Michael Bishop – Cycling

Michael is CMFA’s Cycling coach. He is a veteran from Fort Bragg 82nd Airborne, ’96 to ’98. He graduated in 2005 with a degree in Animal Science from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and currently lives in Beech Island, South Carolina with his wife and their three teenagers. He owns a cattle farm and rides his handcycle six days a week.
